Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a rapidly evolving technological field. Its0 deep integration into India’s Criminal Justice Administration System marks a significant transformation of the nation’s judicial framework. This paper reviews and outlines the evolutionary development of the Indian Judicial system, tracing its origins from ancient legal philosophies rooted in Dharma, through medieval jurisprudential innovations, to the contemporary data -driven transformation powered by AI. By analysing historical, legal, and technological dimensions, this paper systematically examines the primary challenges of constructing an AI- empowered legal system, including algorithmic bias, transparency issues, and accountability concerns. This article highlights advantages such as increased effectiveness, improved precision, and enhanced equity in the justice administration system. Fundamentally, this paper examines how the India can adopt advanced technologies while addressing current challenges and upholding procedural justice and legal integrity.
